The Joy of Seeing

Slow down and practice the joy of seeing.
Begin with something small.
A dandelion.

Look for a shaft of light.

A weathered tree.

Something familiar in deadwood.

A feeling you can't quite shake.

Something funny that catches your eye.

A street sign that makes you smile.

A cartoon that grabs your attention.

An impossibly beautiful sunrise.

Or sunset.

A pet's expression.

Or a plant that catches you off guard.

Or a quote that makes you think.
"What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure
that we can comprehend only very imperfectly,
and that must fill a thinking person
with a feeling of 'humility.'
This is a genuinely religious feeling
that has nothing to do with mysticism."
~ Albert Einstein
And when you find yourself enjoying what you see, share it with us!
Or grab your Journal, and write the following prompts:
I notice...
I wonder...
This reminds me of...
This makes me feel like...
This will help you collect those fleeting moments - some intoxicating, some exceptional - before they disappear. It'll also give you something worth remembering.
The truth is there's beauty everywhere.
Wonder isn't something we have to manufacture; it begins by paying attention to what's already in front of us… around us… beneath us… above us. And within us.
