To the Illustrious Ones
Updated: Jul 19
"The miracle is that the honey is always there, right under your nose, only you were too busy searching elsewhere to realize it. The worst is not death but being blind, blind to the fact that everything about life is in the nature of the miraculous.”
~ Henry Miller, Stand Still Like the Hummingbird
Here's to the illustrious ones. The creatives. The ones who go on producing, come hell or high water. The ones who believe in themselves despite the critics, haters, and naysayers. The world may seem like hell on wheels, as if nobody cares, because in reality... nobody actually cares.
Nobody cares about your failures or successes, these you need to earn on your own. But in doing so, you learn to advance your own passion and art, to make or do something that matters to you. And by doing so, by not quitting or being derailed, your contribution to yourself is also a contribution to the world, and it does in fact make a difference.
It reveals the limitless possibilities for others. The illustrious ones make not just a dent in the universe, they leave clues for those of us still in the dark. Clues that help us find our own Paradise.
And those clues are right under our nose.
