There's something waiting for you... so turn the page.
Jump in a Lake.
Climb a tree.
Sit by a waterfall.
Hike a hill.
Fly.
Schools, bullies, and the business world punish us when we do or try something that doesn't result in positive or perfect outcomes.
We're taught to not want to make mistakes. We're punished, demoted, or fired when we do.
In the words of Sir Ken Robinson, "If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original."
Look around at the beauty of things. Be startled and awed. Listen. Follow your curiosity. And once you discover what's meaningful for you... "Damn the Torpedoes!" Pursue it.
There's something waiting for you, but you won't know what it is if you don't turn the page.
Three things I wish I knew 15 minutes ago:
1. Don't grow out of your creativity.
2. Be willing to make mistakes and deal with the consequences.
3. Have the courage to bring forth the treasures hidden within you.
