Living with Maximum Aliveness: A Manifesto of Sorts

"We live amid surfaces, and the true art of life is to skate well on them…

To finish the moment, to find the journey’s end in every step of the road,

to live the greatest number of good hours, is wisdom." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Today I dust myself off from the poor choices I made yesterday and call forth my highest self. I don't wait for tomorrow or for the universe to nudge me forward, though I know it will, I am not seaweed or tumbleweed moving unconsciously with the winds. Instead, today I choose to move forward with my best performance and attract the people, places, ideas and things that lift me to higher ground.

I seek today to be the best version of myself, who God would have me be, and that includes enlarging my compassion for others. And I will ask better questions like, "how may I serve?" Instead of, "What's in it for me?"

My highest function is to be the person I am capable of being, and beginning today I will no longer sell myself short. I will love more, live more, give more, and be more than I did yesterday. And in doing so, I will manifest the thoughts and actions God would have me think and achieve.

Today I will live to encourage others as if my life depended on it. Because it does. Today I will live with maximum aliveness.
