Grow, Grow

“Every blade of grass has its angel that bends over it and whispers, 'Grow, grow.' ~ Talmud

The urge to grow is something we have in common with the seed pushing through the dirt, the plant leaning toward the sun, the tree standing firm against the elements. Every living thing is pulled forward by this call to growth. A big difference between us and other living things, however, is our capacity to grow beyond the instinctive, beyond the physical.

We can grow a higher consciousness. We can connect with others in more meaningful ways. We can contribute more. We can be more. Love more.

And we can be the angel whispering in our own ear, “Grow, grow.”

In the end, it’s our own voice that matters most.
